Witching Hour Music · hOUR Chain

Every credit, signed.

hOUR Chain records who made a work, how its rights and splits change, and whether everyone got paid. Collaborators approve their credits with a passkey on Solana, payments settle on Base, and every record is signed with post-quantum keys.

What's built today

Post-quantum signing

A reference implementation signs and verifies records with ML-DSA-65 and SLH-DSA-SHA2-128s, the NIST post-quantum standards. Unknown or downgraded signature types are rejected.

Passkey consent on Solana

A Solana program verifies a collaborator's Face ID, Touch ID, or security-key approval onchain, with no wallet or seed phrase. Tested end to end; not yet deployed.

A live ecosystem to serve

The Witching Hour web app, a Lightning node with open channels, and an onchain agent running payment workflows on Base.

Evidence bundles for Filecoin

A deterministic manifest and verifier for the files and credits behind a work. Archiving bundles on Filecoin is the next milestone.

How a release moves

  1. Register the work

Title, recording, release, ISRC, UPC, or ISWC identifiers, and the evidence behind the credits, archived on Filecoin.

  2. Agree the splits

Each contributor approves their role and percentage with a passkey, recorded on Solana. No crypto wallet needed. Every category has to total exactly 100%.

  3. Sign the record

Each change is a signed, timestamped event that points to its evidence and to the event before it.

  4. Settle the payment

A signed instruction says who gets paid and how much, in USDC on Base. Nothing moves without explicit approval.

  5. Keep the receipt

The Base receipt is attested back on Solana next to the approvals, so anyone can check that the payment matched the agreed splits.

First release pilot

We are running hOUR Chain end to end on one real Witching Hour release first: a music, visual-art, or performance release with its actual contributors.

  • Credits, consent, and splits recorded for every contributor
  • Passkey approvals on Solana devnet, a settlement receipt on Base testnet, and evidence on Filecoin's test network
  • A statement each contributor can read
  • No live funds move while the pilot is being validated

Status: pre-alpha. hOUR Chain is a protocol in development, not a live blockchain. Nothing is deployed to mainnet, and there is no token sale.
